MANCHESTER-based, Vision Unique Equipment (VUE), the vehicle CCTV and telematics company, has appointed Kourosh Mehrabani to the board as its new non-executive director and Emma Granger as finance manager.

Kourosh is a former Corporate Finance partner of Deloitte where his experiences included advising full range of clients on all aspects of merger & acquisitions and strategic planning.

Emma, previously a finance manager at Arcadia Group, is a chartered accountant and trained with KMPG. Emma joins as a key member of the management team to ensure efficient operation of accounts and development of the business as it continues to expand.

Following national commercial fleet wins including CEMEX, Speedy Hire, North East Ambulance Service and Addison Lee, VUE started the financial year with an order book worth more than £1million and had scheduled equipment installations for 2,000 vehicles in the first three months. The company is already well ahead of its annual target to install 5,000 camera and data recording systems during 2014.
Kourosh commented on joining the business: “I’m looking forward to playing my part in shaping what will be an exciting future for VUE. I have been impressed by the company’s ambitious growth plans and its forward thinking, dynamic and innovative team. I’ll be focusing on helping the company develop its management and growth strategy and bringing these exciting plans to fruition.”

Glen Mullins, managing director of VUE, added: “Following a number of new business wins and developments, we’re thrilled to have Kourosh and Emma join the team. Strengthening our financial team will help direct us in this important stage of growth, so we’re very much looking forward to the future.”

VUE designs and manufactures CCTV and accident recording systems for commercial vehicle fleets across the UK and Europe. The camera systems provide drivers of cars, vans, LGVs and HGVs with 360 degree visibility and recording equipment which bookmarks G-force variations and speed, allowing transport managers and trainers to pinpoint incident without trawling through hours of footage.

Based in Trafford Park, Manchester, VUE has annual sales of £4 million and was awarded the Highly Commended Fleet Safety Product award at the BRAKE Fleet Safety Awards in 2013. The vehicle CCTV and telematics company works with many of the leading commercial fleets in the UK and is recommended by major insurance companies.
